Shaw's Monopoly

Shaw’s Monopoly Game kicked off today so look for BONUS TICKET ITEMS in the flyer in on the shelves.  I marked the items with *, but there will be more throughout the store.

The game runs from February 5, 2014 through May 20, 2014 so there is plenty of time to win with up to $55 million in prizes and savings.

For the Buy 10, save $5 promo you must buy in lots of 10… as long as you buy 10, 20, or 30 of the included products (see in category below or in flyer)… you will save $5 for every 10 you buy.

Always check your local flyer as prices and promos may be regional.   Let me know any catalina announcements you get.

Buy 10, Save $5 Mega Sale

  1. Can you use the BOGO for the OJ with the limit being one? Has anybody tried this before?

    • Jessica – I meant to put a note there… I am guessing that NO. The BOGO would make the lower priced one FREE, so why bother on the sale one. I would use it for 3 regular price ones at $3.49 so they will be $1.75 each with the coupon.

  2. Lynn,
I’m a little confused about the Buy 10, get $5. Does that promotion apply only to those 10/$10 items marked?

    • all made sense once I looked at the circular! Sorry!

    • Kristen – the Buy 10, save $5 applies to all the items in the list under that category and that say “save $5 wyb 10″… they will also be in the flyer and should be marked on shelves as well.

  3. Don’t forget the Everyday Essentials .75 coupon for the buy 10 items deal. It makes for some great deals! Has anyone had any luck with it doubling?

    • They doubled for me! I used 8 in one transaction and all 8 doubled instead of capping at 4. I was curious about that so 4 things I bought were Everyday Essential seasoning mixes that were on sale for $.50. That way if they didn’t double they would still be free at least. A couple only doubled to the price shown on the shelf but a few doubled fully.

I did print out a conversation off the Shaw’s facebook page before going just in case. Dan from Shaws responded that the cashiers were *NOT* to manually undouble any coupons, and that if there was overage from them it would be applied to the rest of your cart and not adjusted down. I didn’t even run into that with my cashier though.

      • Thanks Karen – that is good to know. I am SHOCKED about the overage. It has always been that cashiers were allowed to undouble (not that they ever notice) even though the computer never worked that way, the policy was no overage…hmmm.

    • Thanks Megan – I think I listed it on some and then forgot… does anyone even have any left??

      • I had 10 of them. Hadn’t gotten to Shaws in a few weeks, so I’ve been saving up and needed to use them. So 5 of them doubled, which was a little odd because it wasnt the 4 like the policy or 8 like Karen had but it was ok because I still thought 0.75 wasn’t bad for apple juice and we needed some. And I also had the recycle bank coupon and wanted everything to be in one order to get to $50. The yoplait .50/1 did fully double, so got overage on that one.
