Market Basket Deals 2/12 – 2/16/12

There are some decent produce and meat prices this week at market Basket.

Market Basket does NOT double coupons, but they do accept internet coupons and typically have coupons posted ALL OVER THE STORE – so keep those eyes open.

There are quite a few Hood deals – I am aware the printable coupons are no longer available, but I put them in the matchup so you would be sure to check your coupon stash.  Let me know what HOT coupons you find in stores.  Check off the items below to create your own shopping list – and add your own too.

What do you like at Market Basket this week?

Make sure to check out my COUPON DATABASE for other coupons you may need before you shop.

  1. The Market Basket in Bellingham has refused the internet coupons when I have tried to use them. Any one else have a similar experience? Thanks.

    • Did they say why? Ususally MB managers will check a coupon on the if there are any questions. I can personally say that I looked out their coupon “policy” yesterday when I had a question on using a MB coupon with a manufacturer coupon and it states they accept internet coupons so as long as the coupon is not on the CIC’s website then they should take it. Next time I might take a picture of their policy since they wouldn’t let me take the paper.

    • I also shop at the Bellingham Market Basket and have had problems with my internet coupons being accepted. I personally enjoy the loud sighs and glares over the tops of the coupons while the manager looks at them. Sometimes you’ll get someone faster (the female manager), but the miserable little man who’s on duty there at night hates printed coupons.

A while back, ball park had a promotion where if they got X number of likes on their facebook page, they would mail everyone a coupon for a free package of hot dogs. Market basket won’t accept coupons that say “Free” including “buy 1 get 1 free” coupons if they are on regular paper. They have to be from a newspaper coupons insert or the kind that Vocalpoint mails to you.

  2. I hate using coupons at MB. They look thru all of them first, then call the supervisor and wait for him/her to come and scan them. I don’t know why they go thru this process :/

  3. Yes, I’ve stopped using internet coupons at MB for that specific reason – it’s just so degrading and makes me feel like a criminal while I wait for the manager to “double check” my printed coupons and the whole line waits and watches…

  4. Cheryl Smith says:

I just found this wonderful coupon match here. I’ve been pondering the idea of TRAVELING to a MB to get their great prices. I WILL go the degrading of having my coupons checked because they will cover my gas $ for the trip.

  5. Following up on my concern that Market Basket would not allow my use of coupons – the explanation provided was that they will not take manufacturer website coupons, only major sites like, and, etc. Disappointing.

  6. Jessica Neskey says:

I’ve never had my printed coupons double checked at the MB we go to. They take them, scan them, and we are good to go.

  7. I live in central NH and the MB here never gives me a hard time about my coupons.

  8. Jessica Neskey says:

We go to the one in Epping, NH

  9. I shop at the Market Basket in Chelsea, Ma. and they always give me a hard time when I use internet coupons. The checkout lady always reads them as if she knows what she is reading then puts her light on for ther manager when she/he comes over they also read it over for a minute & then say yeah that’s fine. I just wait & say thank you :) It is a hassle but not my hassle it’s theirs. Anywho do not let them discourage you keep trying to use those coupons ladies/men. Coupon power!

  10. I live on the NH/MA boarder… Within just a few miles from my house I have 6 Market Baskets, 2 shaws and 2 Stop and Shops. I plan my shopping trip around the other errends I have that day, but typically do most my coupon shopping at Shaws, then finish up the rest of my weeks needs at MB. I’ve never had a problem at any of the stores with coupons. They may read it with a fine tooth comb, but always take them.
