We have so many new readers I wanted to make sure that everyone knew about SavingStar. Have you joined yet? They are eCoupons that make it easy to save on groceries. If you use loyalty cards at CVS, Rite Aid, Shaws, Stop & Shop, Albertsons, and most grocery chains, you will want to SIGN UP for a SavingStar account.
SavingStar’s fully-digital grocery eCoupons are totally paperless – similar to Upromise. There’s nothing to clip or print and they work at over 100 chains in 24,000 stores nationwide – WOO HOO!!
All you need to do is select the eCoupons you are interested in and they are automatically loaded onto ALL YOUR LOYALTY CARDS. When you purchase that item, the cost remains the same, but the savings is then added to your SavingStar account.
That money accumulates and then, here is the great part, you pick your method of payout – bank deposit, Paypal, Amazon giftcard or a donation to American Forests. So you get CASH back in your wallet!! How cool is that?
- Register for a SavingStar account - make sure to check your inbox for an email confirmation.
- Log in and enter your zipcode to see what stores are participating near you (mine were BigY, CVS, Hannaford, Rite Aid, Roche Bros, Shaws, Stop & Shop) – so cool that CVS & Rite Aid are included! Load all your loyalty card information for those stores into your profile. Some participating stores do not have loyalty cards – check with them to see if they have Upromise keytags and you can load that information into the system for proper tracking.
- Browse through the eCoupons and ACTIVATE the ones you are interested in. If you purchase an item that you activated, the savings will be added to your account. NEW eCoupons are typically posted at the 1st of the month (so more coming soon), but they can be added at anytime. I will start adding these to my store match-ups as well.
- Once your account reaches $5, you can choose your method of payment.
There are some great grocery coupons available right now! How long does it usually take to post savings to your account?
Will the coupons double, if a store would normally double for a paper coupon?
No – it can only look at your rewards card to see if you purchased and the coupon value will be added to your account.
