  1. Brenelly says:

This is sad. The BOGO free promotions were the ones in which we got most of the free stuff.

  2. LaBreeze says:

I’d say we can thank “Extreme Couponing” – which I have NEVER seen, neither do I intend to! – for this.

  3. Sarah says:

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    ::beats head on desk::
    Why, Rite Aid? Whyyyyy?

  4. Grace says:

:( sad for the death of the beautiful BOGO deals… but kind of happy about the limit of 4 like coupons (seeing as though I only buy 4 papers) and often find the shelves cleared.

  5. Tina says:

BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Looks like I’ll be focusing on CVS and Wags for the BOGO deals!!!! Sorry they lost some of my business (seeing as how I typically purchase other items when I am lured in on these BOGO sales w/Q’s).

  6. Jennifer St. Germain says:

Alright so how about if an item is BOGO and I have a manufacturer’s coupon for $1.00 off and Rite Aid Video values coupon for $2.00 off 2?
For instance the Dixie plates that are on sale? Will this still work?

    • Lynn says:

Great example Jennifer. Based on the policy, you would be able to use the $1 off mfg coupon for sure on the one you purchased. I think you should be able to use the $2/2 RA coupon, BUT I will get clarification.

    • Jennifer St Germain says:

I was just looking at the Rite Aid Video value coupons I printed yesterday and I didn’t realize they were manufactureres coupons. I’m very new to Rite Aid so I guess I just answered my own question. Guess I’ll just use the $2.00 off two.

      • Lynn says:

Jennifer – the VIDEO VALUES is a STORE coupon and absolutely CAN be used with a mfg coupon. My only hesitation had to do with the $2/2 being linked with the FREE product from the BOGO and if that is allowed with the new policy. I think you should be fine.

        • Jennifer says:

Well I’m glad about the Video Values coupon being Rite Aid. Because it does say Manufacturers coupon right on it. But you’re right because the coupon is on two and one of them is free they might not take it. I’ll give it a try tomorrow and let you know how I make out.

          • rose says:

The Dixie Plates Q doesn’t reallhy say “when you buy 2″ it only says Save… “on 2″ which means that we don’t have to by 2; but we will still be getting 2 if we get them on a BOGO deal.

Don’t you think? So I think we should still be able to use it. I hope!

  7. Melony says:

I don’t understand the point of not being able to use BOGO coupons on a BOGO sale. Doesn’t Rite Aid get reimbursed by the manufacturer anyway? They are just going to miss out on a heck of a lot of sales they could have made. Bad move, RA!

  8. Sarah says:

A couple of questions about +UP deals on this coming week’s circular….

First, the $10+UP wyb $30 products on the back page looks promising. If I bought $15 in one transaction and then $15 in a second transaction, would I still get the $10+UP? Or does it have to be all in one transaction?

    Also, when products are on sale BOGO-50%off, like on page 7, and you get a $15+UP wyb $50… say the Aveeno products are $10ea. If I buy 5, the total pre-sale would be $50, so would I get the $15+UP? Or would I have to buy 7 items ($10 + $5 + $10 + $5 + $10 + $5 +$10) to qualify?

    TIA!

    • Lynn says:

Sarah – For the buy $30, get $10, sometimes it tracks and sometimes it needs to be in one transaction. We will have to wait and see. Dor the Aveeno products, you would have to buy 7, they use the SALE price to calculate your spend.

  9. KT says:

I’m sure you’ll all hate me for this, but I actually think that the changes seem reasonable! I can’t tell you how many times I go to the store & the shelves are cleared of the “good deals.” For someone who does not buy in bulk (I simply do not have to space to stockpile nor the time to try to do mass donations, much as I love to save!), it is super frustrating to go to a store for a promotion only to find that they are out. Even as I try to go back through the week, sometimes they don’t get replenished. I work A LOT and often very early in the AM until very late at night (plus commute time, don’t even get me started *L*), so I simply don’t have time to keep checking back over and over (especially when I can’t even get there while the store is open several days a week!) I think this policy update will help so that everyone will have the opportunity to get in on the deals. Just my two cents!

  10. Vicki says:

Could you please explain this to me – {More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item under the following conditions:
    * All coupons match the item being purchased.
    * The total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the Item before sales tax.}

Does it mean that if I have 2 exact coupons for a product, I can use both on “1 single” item, to make the item free?????

    • Lynn says:

No… Rite Aid allows a mfg coupon and a coded 49 store coupon and a coded 49 store coupon. SO theoretically up to 3 different coupons per item. They state that to say you can only use them all if it does not exceed the purchase price. Does that make sense?
