Stop & Shop SCAN-IT coupons
Have you registered your Stop & Shop card online. I hope so because in the past we have gotten FREE eggs and butter and just last week, we got FREE corn. Have you ever seen or used hand-held scanners?
- Scan and bag in the aisle as you shop, with a running total on how much you’re spending and saving, plus exclusive offers just for you.
You can log in to see what hand-held scanner deals you have.
Last week Rice-A-Roni was on sale for $1 and my scanner deals had a $0.55/1 coupon – so I scored 2 boxes for only $0.45 each! I never use the scanners – but I will now! My coupons did not change much this week. I will have to see if that $0.55 Rice-A-Roni coupon has reset or not – it is still listed this week. I think everyone’s are different. Go take a look!
A couple other in store tools worth noting:
ORDER IT at the deli counter. Hate waiting in those long deli lines… just head on over to the ORDER IT machine and place your order. You will receive a ticket with your number and you can continue with your shopping. A little while later you will here your number called on the intercom and you can head back (or send your kids back
) and pick up your order – LOVE IT!
WEIGH IT – I have not used this much, but you can pre-weigh your produce to make check-out go much quicker. Just head over to the self service scales and pick the produce you have and a bar-code price sticker will spit out. This will speed things up for you in self-check out or for the cashier in regular check-out.

It’s late and maybe I am missing it, but can you use a manufacturers coupon with the scan savings?
How does the scanning work over all? I see scan and bag as you shop, do they then have to unbag and ring up all the items or do they do it from the scanner? sorry if I am not making sense… it’s late lol!
Carrie – NO – i was confused by the whole thing too. I took the scanner to a regular cashier and there is a bar code to scan right at the register by us that says – I AM DONE SHOPPING – or something like that. That downloads everything to her register. Then I handed her my coupons, which she scanned – never looking at my bag of groceries. It was actually pretty cool.
I work RIDICULOUS hours but, I ALWAYS, I mean ALWAYS, get to the store before 10pm so I can use a scanner. I can see exactly how much the most I will be spending is and the coupon deals are TERRIFIC when you combine it with the scanner sales. You can absolutely use manufacturer coupons with the scanner discounts. I have gotten many items better than free with the combined discounts. The best part is that, to me it seems, they base your scanner sales around what you buy. Mine this week include;
.10 off Yoplait cups (Plus I have coupons)
.25 off a 2lt of Pepsi
.45 off any Bachman snack (Plus I have coupons)
.50 off Turkey Hill (Plus I have coupons)
.25 off Hot dog rolls (AWESOME deal if you combine it with the day old sales but, you have to say something the the cashier before you scan the “Done with Order” bar code so s/he can see it and take it off manually.)
$1 off any one 21 oz bottle of Nesquik Syrup (I got 2 bottles for .21 cents a piece combined with the store sale!)
Anyhow, I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Also, just to spread the word, unless otherwise noted at the bottom of the screen as “Limit 1″, in my experience, the scanner deals seem to be good for up to 3 items with the discount. The cool thing is, that if you scan it and the price is only good for one, you can always just click remove and take off the one that wasn’t on sale.
THANKS Jessie – I am definitely going to use it a lot more. I got limit 2 on some, but awesome just deleting it if no coupon – LOL!
Wow, I’ve never heard of this but I’m totally going to have to check it out! Do you go to customer service to get the scanner? How do you know if your local store participates in this?
if you go to stopandshop.com you can click on the savings tab and then read about the scan it feature. you can also register your card through the website which will bring up scan it savings specialized just for you based around what you buy. on the site you can see a list of participating stores by state. i am pretty sure all stores that have the scan it devices participate in the savings program. they are usually located near one of the entrances. hope this helps
