For once some half decent deals. I was disappointed yesterday when I bought milk and no milk points. The state shut down the deal (buy 6 get one 1 free)

4 Lynn August 26, 2010 at 3:03 pm

Michelle – Are you serious?? I had not heard about that… I was there the other day and the signs were still at athe registers. Are you in MA?

Reply

5 Michelle August 26, 2010 at 8:06 pm

No I’m in Maine. Maine has strict rules about milk. No Free Milk (period). I was actually shocked when I first saw the offer. Oh well I needed the milk anyway.

6 Meredith August 27, 2010 at 12:54 am

I was told the same thing at the Rockland Shaws. However, they did say that if you already have the milk points earned they will honor it if you want to redeem them.

Just back from my first experience with the GM instant savings deal! Work beautifully (although I got a cashier who would not let the coupons double: I did have just enough to switch them out for coupons that did not say “DND” from the target website (Nature Valley Granola Bars and Progresso soup) and a few from the paper.) The DND thing killed some of my joy… but not all! One note: I did not receive the CAT for the Edy’s when I bought $12 psp. Oh well! The register did not like the Emeril’s coupons but the cashier just gave me the cash for the coupons.

Katherine – what ice cream and how many did you buy?

Reply

9 Katherine August 27, 2010 at 9:12 am

I got Edy’s Slow Churned French Silk and Edy’s Fun Flavors Mint Brownie ($5.49 ea. psp) and one Edy’s French Vanilla single serving cup ($1.39).

10 Moshi August 27, 2010 at 12:27 pm

Katherine,

Did you get the catalinas for the Nature Valley and Progresso? I’m just wondering if they also didn’t work like the Edy’s catalina? Please let me know. Thanks!

Reply

11 Katherine August 27, 2010 at 4:02 pm

The Progresso and Nature Valley worked beautifully! Catalinas make me so happy when they work! Good luck with your shopping trip!

12 Stacy August 27, 2010 at 8:42 am

The instant savings will double, I bought 20 GM items and saved $10!

You are lucky! The computers were having trouble at my Shaw’s so I had to do separate transactions. A pain, but totally worth it!

Reply

15 Moshi August 27, 2010 at 12:25 pm

If the ice cream catalina is not working, should we assume that the Progresso soup catalina won’t work either?

Reply

16 Lynn August 27, 2010 at 12:31 pm

Moshi – The icecream MAY still be working, it may not be counting the FREE icecream from the BOGO – so maybe you need to buy 4 Edy’s BOGO and the little ice cream for it to work… I will see what I can find out…

Has anyone tried the progresso yet??

But still a good deal

20 Lynn August 27, 2010 at 2:47 pm

Patty – what other $4 are you talking about on the progresso? And what other $5 on the Nature Valley? You need to buy 10 items total to get the instant savings.

My coupons say do not double or triple, how do yours if we both get them from coupons.com?

Reply

25 Michelle August 28, 2010 at 3:57 am

My store still doubles the DND coupons as long as it’s coded with a “5″. They had no Bisquick at my store – the manager gave me the 40oz and allowed the $1.00 coupon. He over rode the system and gave me $5 off – but I didn’t get the 50 btf. No biggie. Popular deals they were sold out of a lot of favorites. But I did pretty good. Saved $56 w/sales + coupons. Might head back today to get more LOL cheese it freezes well.

26 Lynn August 28, 2010 at 8:01 am

Thanks for the tip on the cheese!! I will definitely get there today for that!

Reply

32 Lynn August 29, 2010 at 7:02 am

Kyla – If the progresso is split into 2 transactions, then YES you should get a catalina ofr each on. I have confirmed a Buy 20, get $10, I will check around on the $30….

Reply

33 Kyla August 30, 2010 at 2:50 pm

Lynn- thank you so much. I split up the soup into two transactions of 8 soups each plus the two extra participating items. With my coupons the 8 soups and two items the order was $5 each after the instant savings:) Plus i scored a total of $6 off my next order, which i handed to my husband checking out behind me. Also I purchased 30 items and the instant savings worked… my store said there was no limit.

I got a catalina on the bc fruit snacks! It says:
Buy Betty Crocker fruit shapes, Fruit by the foot, Fruit crushers, Fruit roll-ups, or Fruit roll-up stickerz fruit flavored snacks between 8/9 and 9/5:

Buy 3 & get 1.50 or
Buy 4 & get 2.00 or
Buy 5 or more & get 3.00

I got 4 which made them $0.50 each after the double dip! Nice surprise!

Hey, just thought I’d point out that there was a Betty Crocker boxed Potato $1/2 coupon out there the other day making them free.

I also found some .60/3 and $1/3 for the Green Giant Frozen veggies making them as cheap as .60 each.

Sorry if that was already pointed out! :)
