Rite Aid Trip – Huggies +UP higher limit!

A reader reported to me earlier that when she bought 3 Huggies Pull-ups she got (3) $2 +UP rewards – even though the flyer states limit 1. Since I really needed diapers, I headed out to see for myself.

It did print multiples – in the same transaction! No idea what the limit really is and no idea if it may stop at any time, so YMMV! I bought 2 and got 2!!

Here are the details of everything I got:
2 Huggies $17.98
4 Kendall Bandages $10 (not marked on sale in my store, but I scanned them and they were $2.50!)
4 Royal Jello $1
Tone Body Wash $2.99
total = $31.97
- $5/$25
- $2 Huggies Video Values
- $5 using (2) $2.50 Huggies coupons
- $2 Kendall Bandage Video Values
- $8 using (4) $2/1 Kendall coupons
- $1 Tone Bodywash
final = $8.97, got $2 Huggies +UP, $2 Huggies +UP, $1 Royal +UP and will submit for $2 Tone SCR = $1.97!!

That is $1 each for the diapers and everything else for FREE – WOOO HOOOO!!!
I also grabbed some ZipLoc with BOGO raincheck I had from a couple weeks ago – they ended up $0.40 each after coupons.

Yesterday I snagged the 4 Cottonelle deal I told you about – so a good week so far at Rite Aid!!

    That’s awesome! I’m going to use both the $2 Pull-Ups and the $2 Huggies Video Values coupons, and a $1.50 Pull-Ups and $2.50 Huggies mfg coupon to get one of each for the food pantry. I’m very excited about the extra +Up rewards – thanks!!!

    Ashley, My Riteaid, or maybe my wellness card, did not allow me to use the Huggies Video Value coupon with a manufacturer coupon. Not sure why. I doubled up coupons on a lot of other things though, Huggies was the only one that wouldnt work.

    • Lynn says:

      Annah – have you used that coupon before with your wellness card? They are now coded that you cannot use more than one – even if it is a friends who is not using it. It is tracked by your wellness card.

    I found similarly that I received multiple UP+ coupons when the flyer stated “Limit 1 offer per household.” I purchased the Garnier Skin Care deal. I got two $3 Up+ coupons back in that one transaction. I have been told that you can’t use two UP+ coupons of the same kind in the same transaction. In other words, I couldn’t purchase something and use both of my $3 Garnier Up+ coupons toward it. However I could use one of them, and then Up+ coupons of another kind. Maybe that is what the limit is talking about?

    • Lynn says:

      Meredith – NO there is not supposed to be a limit on using the +UP rewards – they are treated like cash. My guess is that they do not have the computer system all squared away yet since this is still a farily new system and they just imposed the limits recently.

  4. Amy says:

    Last week I got 2 +ups in 1 transaction for Oral-B toothbrushes. The store manager was there helping a newer employee on the register and he offered to ring them up in separate transactions so I would get a +up for each one! I declined since I needed it all together to use the $5/$25 and the B1G1 Q, but it printed 2 anyway.

    Anyway, I was able to use them both this week in the same transaction. So apparently the limit isn’t enforced by the register, at least not on all promotions.

  5. Carol says:

    Okay, so Lynn.. I needed diapers last week and used a $2/1 Huggies coupon (VV) so that means I will not be able to use another one again while the coupon is valid?

    • Lynn says:

      Carol – if it is the same coupon then NO you unfortunately cannot use another one. They are now coded so your wellness card know you already used it. However if it was from another month, you can.

  6. Monique says:

    I tried to buy Huggies today using a video values coupon and a manufacturing coupon. The manager said that I could only pick one because the video values says “manufacturer” and you can only have one manufacturer coupon. I tried to argue that the rite aid “manufacturer” is different than the kimberly-clark one. It seems that it works for most people, any thoughts?
    Thank you!
