    can you do separate transactions (my hubbie has a cvs card too) and then submit both rec. to get the rebate? Wasn’t sure if the rebate requires all purchases from one rec.??

    • Lynn says:

      Jen – the Olay rebate usually does not require one receipt, but check the form just in case. The only question I will not know until Sunday is whether the cleanser counts towards the CVS ECB. If it does then do the bottom scenario twice and submit rebate. If it does not, then y0u need to make sure you spend the $24.99 at CVS for the ECB.

  2. teachinmom says:

    The rebate form does not require the transactions to be on all one receipt. However, it does state that the purchases must all be made by you. I don’t know how that works with using separate cvs cards. I guess if you pay for it even if you are doing it on someone else’s card, it is technically still bought by you. (?)

    The $7.99 cleansers were a no-go at my local CVS this morning. I bought the Total Effects cleanser and facial moisturizer as listed in the scenario and it did not give me the $10 ECB back. I attempted to talk the cashier into it, since the flier does not exclude the cleanser, but she wouldn’t budge, so I returned the items. I’ll have to figure something else out.

    • Lynn says:

      Thanks for the update anon – If I were you I would get the 2 moisturizers and 2 cleansers – unless you do not have the coupons.

  4. Tina says:

    ok – i’m confused as to which scenario we should use lol. Is it this one?
    DEAL IDEA:
    Buy 2 Total Effects Moisturizer $18.99 = $37.98
    Buy 2 Total Effects Facial Cleanser $7.99 = $15.98 (i just saw other reports that these are also $18.99?? will check in morning!)
    total = $53.96
    - $15.98 using (2) FREE Total Effects Facial Cleanser wyb moisturizer
    - $2 using (2) $1/1 Olay Facial moisturizer or cleanser
    final = $35.98, get $10 ECB and submit for $20 MIR = $5.98 = $1.50 each – WOW!!

    • Lynn says:

      Tina- If in fact like Anon stated above, the cleansers do not generate the ECB, then YES, the best deal is the one you stated! I may try it later today.

  5. Madalina says:

    I have done the deal exactly as you have above (2 moisturizers and 2 cleanser), the cashier gave me a hard time with the 2 $1/1 Olay Facial moisturizer or cleanser, she kept saying I couldn’t use them because I already used one coupon ( for the free cleanser), anyhow, I got the manager and he sided with her, but still authorized the coupons as a courtsey to me he said. So with all other coupons I had ( $5 off $40 CVS q, and over $15 ECB’s), it cost me $17 OOP – so this is like $7 after $10ECB, and I’m going to submit the $20 rebate. Thank you so much for your genius idea!! love your blog
