Here is a great NEWBIE Scenario:
I am starting with a $5 RR I need to spend, so here is my plan. If you do not have one, no problem, just split the 1st transaction and be creative to modify for your lowest oop – worst case you will have a little higher oop, but the NET will be the same.
TRANSACTION 1:
Dove Mens $5.99
SuperPolygrip $2
Valentine pencil $0.20 filler w/ in-ad coupon
- $1.50 Dove
- $1.50 Superpolygrip
final = $5.19 – $5 RR (from last week) = $0.19 oop, get $5.99 RR & $2 RR = $2.80 moneymaker
TRANSACTION 2:
Huggies $8.99
Valentines pencil $0.20 w/ in-ad coupon
- $1 Walgreens coupon
- $2 Huggies
final = $6.19 – $5.99 Dove RR = $0.20 oop, get $3 RR
TRANSACTION 3:
Fusion Razor $8.99
2 Valentine Pencil $0.40 w/ in-ad coupon
- $4 Fusion
final = $5.39 – $2 PolygripRR – $3 Huggies RR from above = $0.39 oop, get $4 RR
TRANSACTION 4:
2 Children’s Motrin $6.98
Schick Disposable $4.99
Valentine pencil (may need if Motrin coupon attaches to both Motrin)$0.20
- $3/2 Motrin
- $1 Walgreens Schick
- $3 Schick
final = $5.17 – $4 Fusion RR = $1.17 oop, get $3 RR & $1 RR
Net result is $2.95 for all of the above which includes Huggies diapers!! Pretty good if you ask me!!
NOW if you have the money oop, you can make everything above FREE by doing the following -
TRANSACTION 5:
Schick Quatro $8.99
2 Valentine pencils $0.40 w/ in-ad
final = $9.39 – $3 RR – $1 RR from above = $5.39 oop, get $3 RR and submit for $8.99 MIR!!
NOW the net is $0.35 for everything!!! AND the $0.35 is ONLY because we have to use those foolish fillers so we can spend our register rewards. If I have time, I will try to re-arrange it to minimize the oop a little more.
Happy Shopping!
